More Than Just "Nice Smells"...

When you consider your sense of smell as being the most POWERFUL of the senses, the benefits of aromatherapy make sense.  DC

The power of aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is based on the use of essential oils to improve health and wellness. It’s a completely natural way of relieving a huge number of health issues and can enhance your all-around wellness even when in prime health.

Think of the soothing effect inhaling a heavenly candle has on your mood. Essential oils are the purest form of a plant’s living structure, the life force and the fuel of all plants. Consider the word “essential;” it is something necessary a plant cannot be without. The oils come from a variety of flowers, herbs, plants, bark and other organic materials, which is why there are endless options.

The fragrant scents used in aromatherapy are extracted from a myriad of plants; in other words, you know where they come from. For some reason people will hesitate to take a holistic approach, yet they will pop pills with 35 incomprehensible letters on the side of the bottle without batting an eye.

With aromatherapy, the specific benefits of each plant are well-known, and you know exactly what you are doing for your health.  For example, the powers of lavender to de-stress and curb anxiety are commonly recognized. Peppermint is known to combat drowsiness and nausea, and eucalyptus is a powerful treatment against respiratory issues.

Although I don’t recommend substituting essential oils for medicine for serious issues, I do recommend you look into the way they can enhance your health and well-being personally.
The aromatherapy compounds travel directly to the emotional center of your brain and can lessen feelings of pain, depression and anxiety with perplexing swiftness.

By inhaling a few drops on your palm rubbing them onto the wrists or the back of your neck, you will begin to understand aromatherapy is more than just “nice smells.”
It is a quick, natural and amazing way to treat your body and mind as the temple it is.
